And So It Begins

sharpened,
lined in a row.

and so it begins.

next to a wallet,
with i.d.,
and car keys.

and so it begins.

an admission ticket,
a reporting time,
to test what you know.

and so it begins.

a, b, c or d,
little pencil bubbles ...
stepping stones to your future.

and so it begins.

Anch'io voglio augurare a Nicholas buona fortuna per un futuro meraviglioso. So che sei molto bravo a scuola e sono certa che sarai molto bravo in qualsiasi cosa deciderai di fare.
PS: vedessi cosa c'è sulla scrivania di Chiara!!!! però non ha ancora le chiavi della macchina e per questo ti invidia molto.

I took my son to both of his tests, ACT and SAT, but I remember little of those early mornings. Such a sweet idea to document it with a poem.
