1- The fact that her oldest son is growing up. Today he is flying to the Marquette University in Milwaukee to attend Megan's formal. It's a grown up adventure, and a fun one, and I am happy that it worked out for him to go.
2- A phone call from her sons -- any time of the day or night. At 10:00 p.m. last night Nicholas called asking for instructions on how to fold a dress shirt ... yes, the fitted one we purchased when he was home for Spring Break. Mind you, we practiced that little skill when he was here, but between then and now too much calculus and too much physics rendered his mind to mush. So, no memory cells left on how to fold a shirt. Hence the phone call.
3- The Delta Flight Tracker App. It's a James Bond tool right at a Mom's fingertips. Right now he's in-flight and headed for Detroit, MI where he will have a 3-hour layover before his final flight to Milwaukee.
4- Time travel: His flight leaves Detroit at 12:08 p.m. and gets into Milwaukee at around the same time. Flying backwards through a time zone. I always loved that about traveling.
