When our little guy was in the first grade, he came home with the art project below. We were all very impressed, but our favorite thing was the title: Sheep.
Not Frolicking Sheep, or Sheep in a Meadow, or even Happy Sheep.
No, just Sheep.
Fast forward to today and things haven't changed very much. Today our little guy brought home two of his most recent art projects and evidently his artistic abilities stop dead when it comes to creating titles for his art.
Art project #1: Dolphin
Not Dolphin in the Deep, or Dolphin Swimming in Ocean. Just Dolphin.
"It took me a really long time to get all the watercolors just right," he explains. "Then I ran out of time and couldn't think of a title."
Art Project #2: Owl
"I don't like working with clay," he informs me. "Nothing ever turns out right. I made an owl that looked like a real owl, but when it came out of the clay oven it looked all wonky."
Did he just say wonky?
And I'll leave it at that. We'll see what happens in art next year ...
