A Nightmare on Our Street

My oldest son, whispering: "Mom, I had a really bad dream."

Me: "Hmm. What was it about?"

Son: "There was this man holding a hammer and he was chasing me."

Me: "Well, you had the nails...he needed some."

Son: "Oh. Okay, then.

He goes back to bed...all is right with the world.

Oh. I. love. it. :) :) Good line of thinkin' to remember with my little ones. I have one Nightmare Specialist in my house...2 that are more in that active-imagination-that-comes-out-in their-dreams stage but one especially has her active brain come out in her vivid and sometimes quite scary dreams.
