i like

the un-looked for,

but found—

a love note in a book

a peppermint in my pocket

an out-of-nowhere idea;

the not asked for,

but given—

a non-birthday gift

just because hugs

a spoken appreciation;

moments filled with the unheralded

and unexpected—

a pink balloon day.
