Today I received this in the mail . . . my first paycheck for writing articles!!! About a month ago I started writing for a Catholic organization that publishes monthly parish newletters across the country, and now I will get weekly assignments for which I will get paid. Getting the mail has never been so fun.

I didn't cash my first writing check for months. It was the first tangible reward I had received in years and I just kept staring at it.
Which newsletter? I'm wondering if our parish gets it. What will you be writing about? Are the articles online?

Uhm, yes, that's our house. I'm looking at the mold on the bricks over the front porch, though, and I'm thinking I need to add that to my husband's "Honey-Dew" list.
