My cousin Damiano and his wife, Irene, are leaving Italy today for a year in Canada. Irene received a research grant/scholarship, and Damiano will continue his work via computer.

Gosh, that makes them practically neighbors to you now, though, doesn't it? Hopefully the miles will still be short enough that you'll get to visit one another often in the next year?
