For someone who has car posters on his wall, whose favorite television shows are Top Gear (British and American) and Formula I: Drive to Survive, and who can tell you the make and model of every vehicle on the road, the fact that he couldn't take the driver's test was painful.
But then Georgia's governor, Brian Kemp, issued an executive order. If a full-time student has had a learner's permit for a year and a day, with 40 hours of driving experience (including 6 at night), and could provide validation of having completed both Joshua's law (a 30-hour online course) and ADAP (an online Alcohol and Drug Awareness Program), then the student could apply apply for a license online. NO DRIVING TEST REQUIRED.
Timothy was all over that in a hot minute. He filled out the online form, provided all documentation, and submitted everything exactly one day after the Governor's announcement.
Yesterday his driver's license arrived.
And just in time, too, because he has a summer job.

But DMV...don't even with me. I spent 3 hours plus on hold with them today and still didn't even get to talk to someone.
